ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Grace Ademola-Adenle.

I design, teach & coach.

Having stumbled into tech over a decade ago, I am keen on avoiding that “wilderness journey” for others. I do this as a teacher and mentor to many, and I’ve helped hundreds of tech newbies gain their footing here. In this process, I’ve gained some recognition such as the Standard Chartered Women in Tech 2020 Accelerator where I won $10,000 for Command Design Academy and LinkedIn’s Top 10 Voices in Design.

So I am a UX Designer who started as a Software Developer and has been a Designer for the past 7 years. With a keen eye for detail and a deep passion for understanding how technology impacts regular people’s behaviours, I help startups expand their capacity for impact.

As founder and lead tutor at Command Design, I help creatives get into the tech space. And I can help you too!

"I can say positively with a huge conviction that what I learned in those 4 weekends shaped my career for the better, helped me to be a better designer and validate some career choices that were right and correct the ones that were wrong. I learned new ways of doing things and even got the opportunity to collaborate with others."

Help realign your tech career
Your past in other industries is very relevant to your future in Design. Being a UX Designer is not an isolated career - this means that we'll work together to see where your career is supposed to be based on your past experiences and your desires for the future.
1
Review your CV & Portfolio
White content is "king" in meeting the strict requirements of design recruiters, your CV & portfolio structure is "queen". Let me assist you in cleaning up your CV and choosing the best case studies for your portfolio.
2
Create your powerful cover letter
You know how you send in your CV and maybe even a great portfolio, and you get absolutely no response? Yeah! It's most likely because of a missing cover letter or an inadequate one. I'll share with you my template of cover letters that will get your foot in the interview "door".
3
Optimize your LinkedIn Profile
Do you know that just by optimizing your LinkedIn profile, you can get several new invitations-to-apply for top design jobs per week? Headhunters, recruiters and in-house HR managers do not necessarily put out their best jobs as vacancies anymore. They now source out these roles on LinkedIn and privately message profiles that are interesting to them. Let me help do this.
